Longo maï wurde 1973 gegründet und besteht heute aus 10 Kooperativen in verschiedenen europäischen Ländern sowie Costa Rica. Sie setzen sich seit Jahren gemeinsam mit anderen Organisationen für die Vielfalt von Saatgut und das Selbstbestimmungsrecht von Kleinbäuer_innen und Gärtner_innen ein, ihr Saatgut selbst zu vermehren. Auf unseren Höfen haben wir gelernt, unser eigenes Saatgut anzubauen und den Wert der bäuerlichen Sorten zu schätzen.
