	There are two methods for extracting seeds:	إنّ استخراج البذور يعتمد على إحدى الطريقتين:
	For a small harvest, cut the aubergines in four and remove the seeds with a knife.	للحصاد الصغير، تُقطّع ثمرة الباذنجان إلى أربع قطع وتُستخرج البذور بوساطة سكينة.
	For larger crops, peel and chop the aubergines in cubes and place them in a jar of water. Mix in a blender for a few seconds. The good seeds will sink to the bottom of the container. Take out the layer with the flesh, the left-over skin and the undeveloped seeds using a sieve. Take the good seeds and clean them in the sieve under running water.	للمحاصيل اﻷكبر، يُقشّر الباذنجان ويُقطّع إلى مكعبات ويوضع في وعاء من الماء ثمّ يُضرب بالخلاط لبضعة ثوانٍ. ستستقرّ البذور الجيّدة في قاع الوعاء. يتمّ التخلّص من طبقة لبّ الثمرة وما تبقّى من القشرة والبذور غير المكتملة بوساطة مصفاة. تؤخذ البذور الجيدة وتُنظّف جيّدًا في المصفاة تحت مياه جارية.
	It is then important to dry the seeds within two days at most. Place them on a fine-meshed sieve or a plate in a warm, dry, airy or well-ventilated space (between 23° and 30°C).	هنا، إنّ تجفيف البذور خلال يومين على اﻷكثر مهمّ جدًّا.من ثمّ توضع البذور في مصفاة أو غربال ناعمين، أو على طبق في مكان جاف، دافئ ومهوّى بشكل جيّد (حرارة تتراوح بين 23° و30° درجة مئوية).
	For smaller quantities, use coffee filters, as they are very absorbent and the seeds do not stick to them. Place at most a small teaspoon of seeds in each filter. Hang the sachets on a clothes rack in a dry, airy and shaded place.	بالنسبة إلى الكميات الأصغر، تُستخدم الفلاتر الورقية المستخدمة في آلات القهوة، إذ أنّها تمتلك قدرة عالية على الامتصاص ولا تلتصق البذور بها. يوضع مقدار ملعقة شاي من البذور في كل فلتر. تُعلّق الأكياس على حبل (حبل نشر الغسيل مثلًا) في مكان جاف ومهوّى وظليل.
	Write the name of the variety, the species and the year of production on a label and place it inside the packet. Writing on the outside may rub off.	يُكتب اسم الصنف والنوع وسنة الإنتاج على قطعة ورقيّة وتوضع داخل الكيس، فكتابته على الكيس من الخارج قد تُمحى.
	A few days in the freezer will kill any parasite larvae.	يساعد وضع البذور في الثلاجة لبضعة أيّام على قتل اليرقات الطفيلية.
	The germination capacity of aubergine seeds is 3 to 6 years. To lengthen it, keep the seeds in a freezer.	إنّ قدرة بذور الباذنجان على الإنتاش هي من 3 إلى 6 سنوات. لإطالة المدة توضع البذور في الثلاجة.
