Martina Widmer and Sylvie Seguin from the Longo Maï Cooperative and the European Civic Forum have experience in market gardening and seed production since the early 2000s thanks to collaboration with Kokopelli. They have organized Seed Swaps and have participated in the network of seed producers for Kokopelli's “Seeds without borders” network. Both are involved in the European Civic Forum's public awareness campaigns against restrictive seed legislation and in favour of the access to open-pollinated heritage seeds.

Beide sind erfahrene Gärtnerinnen und vermehren seit mehreren Jahren Saatgut für den Eigenbedarf sowie Saatgutbörsen. Im Rahmen des Europäischen Bürger_innen Forums beteiligen sie sich an Kampagnen für die Erhaltung der Vielfalt der Kulturpflanzen und dem Europäischen Bürgerforum haben seit Anfang der 2000er Jahre Erfahrung mit Gemüseanbau und Saatgutproduktion. Sie haben Saatguttauschbörsen organisiert und am Netzwerk der Saatguterzeuger für Kokopellis Netzwerk "Saatgut ohne Grenzen" teilgenommen. Beide sind an den öffentlichen Sensibilisierungskampagnen des Europäischen Bürgerforums gegen restriktive Saatgutgesetze und für den Zugang zu frei bestäubtem Kultursaatgut beteiligt.
