Sylvie Seguin lives at the Longo Maï Cooperative in the south of France. She has had experience in market gardening and seed production since the early 2000s in collaboration with Kokopelli. She has participated in the organization of seed swaps and in the variety conservation network of the seed producers contributing to Kokopelli's “Semences sans frontières” network. She is involved in the European Civic Forum's public awareness campaigns on the topic of seeds. She co-directed the film “From seed to seed”.

Sinds het begin van de jaren 2000 produceert ze ook zaaigoed voor zadenruilbeurzen en in samenwerking met Kokopelli - voor de instandhouding van hun collectie en in het kader van "Semences sans frontières". Daarnaast werkt ze rond het thema zaaigoed bij het Forum Civique Européen (Europees Burgerforum). Ze was co-regisseur van de film "Semences buissonières". Samen met Martina en Olga Widmer regisseerde ze de filmpjes van DIYseeds.
